Freshman Residential Parking Exception for Medical Condition

Subject to space availability, residential freshman who demonstrate a compelling need for personal transportation to attend frequent, scheduled, IN-PERSON medical or psychological appointments may qualify for a parking exception. Appointments must be scheduled at least weekly IN-PERSON and not on an “as-needed” basis. Appointments cannot be virtual (telehealth, teletherapy, telemed). Closer Parking for Temporary Physical Disability

Residential and commuter students with mobility limitations can apply for “closer” parking to classes and residential buildings. You can park in all employee, student (commuter or residential), or visitor parking areas if approved. However, this does NOT permit you to park in a handicapped parking space (see Handicapped Parking section below), Service Vehicle space, sidewalk/walkway, or roadway. You will be ticketed for parking in these areas.

If a student requests a parking accommodation based on a permanent disability, please get in touch with the Accessibility Resource Center (formerly Disability Support Services) by email at arc@tcnj.edu or by phone at 609-771-3199.

To apply, upload to OWL both of the completed forms below using the “parking request” upload option. Please allow seven business days for processing once uploaded.

Please note forms emailed or faxed will not be processed.
