Medical Parking Accommodations

Freshman Residential Parking Exception for Medical Condition

Subject to space availability, residential freshman who demonstrate a compelling need for personal transportation to attend frequent, scheduled, IN-PERSON medical or psychological appointments may qualify for a parking exception. Appointments must be scheduled at least weekly IN-PERSON and not on an “as-needed” basis. Appointments cannot be virtual (telehealth, teletherapy, telemed). Approval is given for no more than a semester at a time. Requests are reviewed by the Director of Student Health Services. Students will be notified of the disposition of their request by email sent to their TCNJ email account. Do NOT bring your car to campus until your request has been approved and you have obtained the proper permit from Parking Services. Please allow adequate time for review!

Closer Parking for Temporary Physical Disability

If approved, you will be allowed to park in all employee, student (commuter or residential), or visitor parking areas. However this does NOT give you permission to park in a handicapped parking space (see Handicapped Parking section below), Service Vehicle space, sidewalk/walkway, or roadway. You will be ticketed for parking in these areas.
